Flow Meter, Air flow Meters, Flow Sensor, Peak Flow Meter, Air flow meter, Air flow Sensors
Flow measurement is the quantification of bulk fluid movement. It can be measured in a variety of ways. Measuring the flow of liquids like water, oil or even “Milk” also Steam and gas is one of the most important areas of application for today’s field instrumentation. We have a large portfolio of products available to provide customers with the best fit flow solution for their application, be it electromagnetic, Coriolis, Vortex, ultrasonic, thermal or differential pressure.
- Equipment types: Indicators, Transmitters and Switches
- Products Include: Flow Meters of various sizes and manufactures such as Dwyer and Kobold
- Areas of Application: High and Low Viscosity Liquids,
- Industries: Particularly the beverage, brewery, petrochem but all industries using the media of water, liquid or gas.
- Manufacturers: Kobold, Dwyer, Endress and Hauser
Gas Meter / Sensors
Gases can be compressible and the volume changes when placed under pressure or maybe heated or cooled. The volume, under one set of pressure and temperature conditions is not equivalent to the same under different conditions. This leads to four references:
- Actual
- Standard
- Base
- Mass
Actual flow rate through a flow meter, Standard or Base flow rate through a meter with units such as acm/h (actual cubic meters per hour), Kscm/h (Kilo standard cubic meters per hour), LFM (linear feet per minute), or MSCFD (thousands of standard cubic feet per day). Mass flow rate can be directly measured, independent of pressure and temperature effects, with thermal mass flow meters, Coriolis mass flow meters, or mass flow controllers.
Liquid Meter / Sensors
For liquids, units are used depending upon the application and industry, liters per second, bushels per minute or, when describing river flows, cumecs (cubic metres per second) or acre-feet per day.
