Air preparation is designed to provide a quality air supply to the plant systems that will promote reliable operation and increased efficiency. This entails the removal of particles or contamination from the air stream such as water, and the control of pressure to minimise energy wastage. For some applications, the cleaned air is then lubricated by the injection of an aerosolised oil. This will increase life, efficiency, reduce static friction and ensure all downstream components require no lubrication at a later stage.

A pneumatic filter is a device which removes contaminants from a compressed air stream, by either using a “media” which traps particles, but allows air to pass through, or by using a membrane that only allows air to pass through.

A pneumatic lubricator is a device which injects an aerosolised stream of oil into the airline. This is used to provide lubrication for internal working parts of pneumatic tools and components such as actuating cylinders, valves and motors.

A pressure regulator is a valve that automatically modulates the flow of a liquid or gas based on a certain inlet pressure. Regulators are used to allow high-pressure fluid supply lines or tanks to be reduced to safe and/or usable pressures for various applications.

MGA Controls Ltd has developed long-standing partnerships with the top suppliers in the process field, such as ASCO Numatics, Konan, Norgren, Festo, Parker and SMC.
