MGA Controls Ltd has been an established supplier of instrumentation and valve solutions to industry for over 26 years. We supply design solutions for customer applications and act as agents and distributors for several major brands such as Asco Numatics, Emerson, Norgren, Buschjost, Herion, Schubert & Salzer, Watson Smith, Inoxpa, Stubbe, Labom, Valmatic and Singer into a wide range of industry sectors.

The Role

We have a vacancy for an office based sales person to handle customer enquiries across the entire MGA product portfolio. The role involves supplying into a broad range of industry sectors that includes Food, Pharma, Process manufacturing, Chemical, Water, Utilities & Petrochem. As our service to our customers is often accompanied by application specifications and technical advice and support, the successful applicant will be able to identify with end user problems and issues within the industry and assist end users to identify and implement cost effective solutions.

The successful candidate will be required to contribute in each of the following areas.

• To promote and sell a range of valves and valve actuation packages
• To promote and sell the Control & Instrumentation products from the manufacturers for whom MGA Controls are distributors and agents.

Candidate Experience

Experience / Skills Essential / Desirable
Over 5 years’ experience in an engineering role Essential
Experience within the Process Industry Desirable
Experience with Valves & Actuators (for the relevant role) Essential
Knowledge of specifying Instrumentation and valves Essential
Has existing Process Industry contacts Desirable
Experience within a sales or business development role Essential
Good interpersonal skills with a good telephone manner Essential
Interest for engineering or mechanical components Essential
Worked in a similar environment Desirable
IT literate Essential
Educated to A-Level – relevant qualifications Desirable
Self-Motivated Essential
Effective communication skills Essential

The successful candidate will expected to carry a sales conversion target and will be able to demonstrate having worked in this type of environment previously.
