Pilot-operated Check Valves combine the functionality of a check valve and directional control valves, making them crucial in hydraulic and pneumatic systems where controlled reverse flow is required.
The valve allows flow in the forward direction (inlet to outlet), while the check valve mechanism blocks reverse flow (outlet to inlet). When pilot pressure is applied to the control port, the pilot mechanism overrides the check valve, compressing the spring or lifting the poppet, allowing reverse flow through the valve.
