Gas Solenoid Valves

About Gas Solenoid Valves

Gas solenoid valves operate by translating electrical impulses to open or close a valve. This then controls the flow of gas through the circuit, which in turn enhances the functionality of the machine. Often, gas solenoids are found in both industrial and residential situations, depending on specific applications. Commonly, solenoid valves for gas are used in industrial gas burners, atmospheric gas boilers, industrial kilns and other gas consuming applications.

MGA Controls stock a range of solenoid valves for gas from Elektrogas, Bürkert, ASCO and Maxseal. As they are designed for use in hazardous applications, they are manufactured from robust materials, including brass, stainless steel and light weight die-cast aluminium. The gas solenoid valves are also manufactured in accordance with the BS EN 161 standards and are available in sizes between DN8 and DN150.

As the gas solenoid valves are only available as normally closed variants, the power can never fail, as the valve will close immediately to stop the flow of potentially explosive gases.
