Contacts Gauges
Utilising mechanical elements, employing physical contact to measure pressure changes, providing a visual indication on a dial and often featuring electrical contacts.
Contact pressure gauges, also known as mechanical pressure gauges are instruments used to measure the pressure of gases or liquids in a system.
These gauges typically have contacts or switches that can be set to activate or deactivate at specific pressure thresholds. When the pressure reaches a predetermined level, the contacts make or break an electrical circuit, triggering an alarm or control action.
A Bourdon tube is used. Being a curved, hollow metal tube it deforms in response to pressure changes. The movement of the tube is mechanically linked to a pointer on a dial, indicating the pressure valve.
