Following the completion of a Mechanical Engineering Degree, I worked for 4 different manufacturers of valves, cylinders and instrumentation over the next 15 years. In that time, I covered the sales of a wide range of catalogue and bespoke products, uniquely designed to suit the application. These products were sold into the Nuclear, Power, Chemical, Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas, Food Processing, Rail & Motor Vehicle, Manufacturing and Packaging Industries.
Having joined MGA in 2009 I quickly introduced myself to the UK Water Industry and applied these skills to the re-development of the Val-Matic Wastewater Resilient Hinge Check Valves, meeting the multiple stringent UK standards. Since then I have written Water Industry standards, secured multiple Frameworks surrounding this range and carried out further re-developments into the Clean Water side of the Industry.
In addition to converting a large part of the industry to RHCV’s, I have developed further unique fluid and air/gas Control, Isolation & Check Valve products, optimising performance, energy efficiencies and longevity. Application of my knowledge of hydraulics and in partnership with the manufacturers, has allowed me to accurately specify products by size and type. In addition to the MGA core partners, I have collected together a range of additional suppliers of quality products, producing an utterly unique package of products and technical support from design stage to problem solving. Applications range from Raw Sewage pumping stations and Treatment to Sludge handling and Aeration, from Biogas generation and Steam handling to Bore Holes, River Extraction and Clean Water Booster Sets.
