Concentric Butterfly Valves

Butterfly valves are widely used in many industries and applications for isolation duty of a variety of process fluids. Concentric butterfly valves employ a disc which rotates around a central axis, and deforms an elastomer seat as it reaches its closed position.

The deformation of the seat forms a seal and prevents any process fluid flowing downstream. In a concentric butterfly valve, the shaft and disc sit directly in the centre of the valve and pipeline. They are a cost effective solution and can be supplied as manual valves complete with hand lever, or can be fitted with pneumatic or electric actuators.

Butterfly valves are available in a wide range of body materials including cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel and other exotic alloys, and can be specified with a range of elastomers to suit the process conditions. Typical duties are hot/cold water, steam and neutral gases, but butterfly valves can be supplied in hygienic form for food & beverage or pharmaceutical applications.
